Last updated: March 2026

TubeLyft ("we", "our", "us") operates the TubeLyft platform available at tubelyft.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using TubeLyft, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and Google profile information. This is used solely to create and manage your TubeLyft account.

YouTube Channel Data

When you connect your YouTube channel, we access data through the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API. This includes:

  • Channel name, description, subscriber count, and total view count
  • Video metadata: titles, thumbnails, publish dates, public view counts, likes, and comments
  • YouTube Analytics data: watch time, impressions, click-through rate, audience retention, and revenue estimates (where available)
  • Playlist and upload data associated with your channel

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with TubeLyft, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the TubeLyft platform
  • Power your analytics dashboard, content gap finder, title scorer, and other features
  • Personalise insights and recommendations based on your channel's history
  • Send product updates, feature announcements, and support communications
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data or your YouTube channel data to any third party.

3. YouTube API Services

TubeLyft uses YouTube API Services to connect your channel and access analytics data on your behalf. By using TubeLyft and connecting your YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The handling of your Google account data is also subject to Google's own privacy practices, described at the Google Privacy Policy.

You can review and revoke TubeLyft's access to your Google account at any time by visiting Google Security Settings. Revoking access will disconnect your YouTube channel from TubeLyft.

4. Third-Party Services

TubeLyft relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

  • Appwrite — Provides authentication, database, and session management. Your account data is stored securely on Appwrite Cloud. See Appwrite Privacy Policy.
  • Google / YouTube — Authentication and YouTube channel data access via OAuth 2.0 and YouTube API Services. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Payment Processor — Payment information is handled directly by our payment provider. TubeLyft does not store credit card or banking details on our servers.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Appwrite Cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, secure session management, and access controls. While we take data security seriously, no system is completely secure — we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

YouTube channel data fetched via the API is stored to power your dashboard and generate insights. We retain this data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — Request that we delete your account and associated data
  • Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Revocation — Disconnect your YouTube channel at any time via Google Security Settings or from within TubeLyft settings

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@tubelyft.com.

7. Cookies

TubeLyft uses session cookies to keep you logged in. These are essential for the service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

TubeLyft is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice inside TubeLyft. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
